UPDATE: So I’m sure a lot of you are wondering why I’ve gone radio silent. As many of you know, I’ve started on a new career path, and its far more demanding than I originally anticipated.

My buddy who owns a successful company here in Florida gave me a job in a field of which I have 0 experience. I told him my situation and, it just so happened he was 2 weeks away from launching a new operation in Oklahoma. He offered me a job as a remote appointment setter at first and said it would be super flexible.

However, once he saw how quickly I could learn the computer systems and my experience with social media, he offered me a higher position to be the marketing manager of the entire company. It’s an amazing opportunity but obviously A LOT more cumbersome.

My buddy is putting a lot of trust in me, and has put me into a trial by fire scenario. It’s sink or swim. He basically gave me a once over of my responsibilities, a week of training, and then left on a plane to Oklahoma for a week. He’s put me in charge of managing all marketing operations, as well as other employees.

Since I am brand new, my nerves are super high, and tasks which should take me 20 mins are taking me 2 hours. I am hoping that in another week or two once I get comfortable with what I’m doing, I’ll be able to balance a bit better and keep writing and making videos.

For now , I just need to clear all distractions and try to provide as much value as I can, so that my buddy doesn’t regret his decision to bring me on board.
